Each gram of Daktarin Powder contains 20mg of the active ingredient, miconazole nitrate, an antifungal medication. This gel should be applied as directed by your doctor. However, the recommended dosage of this product is:

For adults and children above 2 years of age - apply 2.5ml (half a 5ml teaspoon) of gel four times a day, after the meal; and

For infants from 4 months old to 2 years old - apply 1.25ml (a quarter of a 5ml teaspoon) of gel four times a day, after the meal.

The maximum dose is 10ml of gel, four times a day.

Keep using this product at least one week after your symptoms subside to prevent the infection from returning. Do not exceed the daily recommended dose.

Children under 4 months of age should not use Daktarin Oral gel because of the risk of choking.

Do not use Daktarin Sugar Free Oral Gel if you are allergic to miconazole, similar antifungal medications or any other ingredient of this gel.
