Bell's Mentholated Bronchial Balsam

Bell's Mentholated Bronchial Balsam is an expectorant that helps to relieve sore throats, coughs, colds and catarrh in adults and children from 6 years.

  • Adults and children over 12 years: Take two or three 5ml spoonfuls (10ml to 15ml).
  • Children aged 6 to 12 years: Take one or two 5ml spoonfuls (5ml to 10ml).
The above doses may be taken every 2 or 3 hours. 

  • Active Ingredients: Menthol 1mg, Aniseed Oil 3.5mcl and Capsicum Tincture 25mcl per 5ml.
  • Other Ingredients: Ginger Oleoresin, Clove Oil, Peppermint Oil, Glycerin E422, Glucose, Sucrose, Tragacanth E413, Benzoic Acid E210, Caramel E150c, Benzoin Tincture, Tolu Tincture, Ethanol and Purified Water.

  • Do not give to children under 6 years
  • Do not use if you are allergic to any of the ingredients.
  • Consult your doctor or pharmacist before use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • Contact your doctor before use if you have been told you have an intolerance to some sugars.
  • Contains 1.9g of sucrose per 15ml dose - this should be taken into account in patients with diabetes.
  • This medicinal products contains 2.6 vol% ethanol (alcohol), i.e. up to 306mg per 15ml dose, equivalent to 7.7ml of beer or 3.2ml of wine per 15ml dose. Harmful to those suffering from alcoholism. To be taken into acount in pregnant or breastfeeding women, children and high-risk groups such as patients with liver disease or epilepsy.
