Tamsulosin is prescribed to treat the symptoms of an enlarged prostate in men. Benign Prostate Hypertrophy, or enlargement of prostate gland, is a condition known as BPH. An enlarged prostate gland can cause issues when you pass urine.

A serious illness with blistering of the skin, mouth, eyes and genitals
Erythema multiforme, dermatitis exfoliative (serious skin rashes)
Nose bleeds
Blurred vision or impaired vision
Dry mouth
Abnormal heart rhythm or irregular heartbeat
Do not give this medicine to children or adolescents under 18 years because it does not work in this population.
