Your doctor or pharmacist may recommend a 7-day treatment for infections of the vagina. Use the provided applicator to apply the cream to your vagina one time per day.
Remove the cap to fill the applicator. Screw the yellow end with the green band onto the tube. Gently squeeze the tube while slowly pulling the inner white plunger from the applicator to the stop.
You will need to remove the applicator from the container. Then, lie down on your back with your knees bent. Push the plunger gently, but firmly, into the yellow end of your applicator. Push the plunger down as far as you can to empty the cream in your vagina. After you are done, take out the applicator and wash your hands.
It does not stain clothes but it is preferred to use a light sanitary pad as the medicine may leak from the vagina. It is safe to use Gyno-Daktarin during your period.
You may also apply the cream in the vulva and area around it, two times a day to treat the infection outside of the vagina. Follow your doctor’s instructions.
