Bell's Liquid paraffin BP is formulated for the management of constipation in children over 3 years and adults.

If you're experiencing constipation you may find that your stools are hard to pass, larger/lumpier and harder than normal.

How does Liquid Paraffin work?
Liquid paraffin BP oral solution contains the active ingredient liquid paraffin which helps to lubricate and soften stools to help ease bowel movements.

For adults, the elderly and children over the age of 12, you can take 10-30ml as required (this would be two to six 5ml spoonfuls). 

For children between the ages of 3-12, take 5-20ml as required (this would be one to four 5ml spoonfuls). 

DO NOT GIVE TO CHILDREN UNDER 3years

Prolonged use should be avoided as it may cause anal irritation, inflammation and formation of lumps. Accidently breathing in liquid paraffin may cause congestion of the lungs. If you notice these or any other side effects, stop using the product and consult your doctor or pharmacist.
